WORK PERMIT

Students with a valid visa are allowed to work 40 hours per week during May, June, July, and August and from December 15 to January 15 inclusive, since January 1, 2016. The Students working hours is limited to 20 hours a week at all other times.

    STAY BACK​

The students from Non-European countries and European Economic Area areas who have graduated from any Irish higher education institutions are permitted to stay in Ireland for up to 24 months to look for work under the Third Level Diploma Scheme.

PERMANENT RESIDENCY​

To be able to apply for permanent residency in Ireland, you must have spent a total of 5 years in the country. If you have a General Employment Permit or Critical Skills Employment Permit, it takes only two years. From the period of application for the residency permit at GNIB, the completion of 5 years or 2 years is determined. If applicants live in Ireland for five years after obtaining permanent residency, they are entitled to qualify for Irish citizenship.
